KVPS
Providing services, housing, support and activities all over Finland for persons with intellectual disabilities and support needs.
Our aim is to find individual solutions and to create high-quality services for and together with persons with disabilities and their families. We advocate full citizenship, inclusion and services that are based on human rights and UN CRPD.
We offer respite care services for 650 families and homes for 1300 persons. Every year, we organise 300 events, seminars or training courses to co-create and share good practises.
Our achievements include:
- Variety of individual support services and housing available all over Finland
- Highly competent and committed employees
- Pioneer in co-creation and person-centred support and funding models
- Founder of Suunta - the self-directed support centre in Finland
- A clear and meaningful vision, values that are visible in every day life
In the future, we will continue to develop individual support, services and communities for persons with disabilities - together with them and their loved ones. We have good and confidential cooperation relations with public authorities. As a responsible organisation, we bear responsibility socially and financially, and we are growing our role and pioneering as an environmentally responsible organisation. We offer meaningful work and continuity of services to thousands of people.
Our vision, the good life of people who need help and support due to intellectual disabilities or other reasons and the trust of their loved ones, is bright, strong and relevant in this time. The Cooperative gives us new opportunities and networks for co-creation and implementing our vision.
