Vasilis Kalopisis has over 25 years of experience working in Greece and internationally alongside people with disabilities and their families, advocating for equal rights and opportunities for all.
He currently serves as Director of Petagma, the Association for Supported Living for People with Intellectual Disabilities. His professional background includes roles in inclusive education, day care centres, and social cooperative enterprises.
Vasilis is also a co-founder of Puzzle, a social enterprise offering consulting and capacity-building services to social care organizations. From 2019 to 2024, he acted as National Coordinator for technical assistance programs on deinstitutionalisation and early intervention in Greece. These programs were implemented by the European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD) in collaboration with the Greek government.
In recent years, Vasilis has served as a consultant on deinstitutionalisation initiatives for the Attica Social Welfare Centre.
